Dear all,
First of all, we would like to wish you a pleasant stay in our villa: La Casa Roger (Avenida de Arragon, 34 at 43892 Miami-Playa; Tarragona). We hope that you will enjoy your holiday. The villa is at your disposal as of 16:00 hours.
In order for you to have a good holiday, we recommend you follow these few simple rules. These will avoid misunderstandings between us and will ensure that the villa stays in good order.
In general, we ask you to use the holiday villa, as you would home, to respect the goods and material belonging to others, which are at your disposal during your stay.
Your holiday villa is in a good condition when you arrive. You are kindly asked to leave it the way you found it.
It is strictly forbidden to smoke in the bedrooms and in the bathroom.
Please no crazy jumps in the swimming pool: think of others. Please also take a shower before going into the swimming pool. Do not touch any of the equipment or mechanisms of the swimming pool. Swimming is strictly forbidden after 22:00 hours. Please also note that the swimming pool is unattended.

A new TV set with a satellite dish and decoder is at your disposal. Please do use them without changing the original settings. Either you use the TV alone and get Spanish channels only, either you use the decoder and receive French channels (TF1, FR2, FR3, La 5 and M6). By switching on the decoder, French channels are automatically at your disposal (sorry: no English channels available!). After use, please do not forget to switch off both the TV set and the decoder.
A new washing machine is put at your disposal. Please use it with care.
Only in the winter season
Should you be cold in the villa, a portable gas heater is at your disposal. Please switch on the pressure reducer, push and leave your finger one moment on the middle button. After approximately 15 seconds, please push simultaneously on the right button (when you face the appliance) for the flame to appear. Keep the middle button down for approximately 30 seconds. Then release it and check if the pilot light is still on. If not, try again.
The left button (when you face the appliance) determines the heat you want to have in the villa. The left button down, the heating is at the minimum. Push once on the middle button and the heating will switch to its average temperature. Push a second time and the heating is at maximum capacity. If you want to turn it down again, push on the left button once or twice. In fact, you just use the left and middle buttons to adjust the heating to your convenience.
If the heater does not work, never
forget to switch off the pressure reducer.
Otherwise gas keeps coming out. The
heater is new and in a good condition. All damages or bad manipulations leading to burns or
explosion are entirely your responsibility.
You alone will have to assume all consequences and damages caused to
yourselves and to the villa and surroundings.
If the gas bottle for the heater is empty, please call the company Las Cambrils S.A. at the following number 36-01-63. A new bottle costs about 1,200 ptas. They will come and change it for you if you give them the address and the name of the Casa. You can also leave the empty gas bottle on the pavement; the company comes by every Wednesday.
As for hot water, there is a new 50-litre water boiler in the right hand-side cupboard in the kitchen. Please do not touch anything. As soon as you enter the villa, simply plug it in and wait for about two hours before using the hot water.
New settees are at your disposal. We would like to keep it for a long time. Please use them carefully.
Animals are forbidden. However, if you take your dog (small-sized one!), please bear in mind that all damages to the villa and surroundings and all accidents caused by the dog will be your responsibility only. Please also think of others and make sure that the animal does not in any case disturb your neighbours (barking, excrements; etc.).
Please use the open fireplace as you wish. However, please always remember to place the protection grid back to its initial place during and after use. There is firewood at your disposal near the barbecue. If there isnt any, you can buy some at the Campsa petrol station on the main road or ask info at the Casa Dorothee.
You are also welcome to use the barbecue. After use, make sure you clean the area for your neighbours.

Please water the plants and flowers in front of the patio from time to time but always after 20:00 hours though. If you have the time (and only if you feel like it!), please feel free to take off the weeds. We thank you in advance.
All damages caused to the Casa Roger, to the villa and surroundings are your responsibility. You are responsible for all possible damages. Also, we are not responsible for any drowning, theft or accident.
When leaving the villa or
going to bed:
For more safety and to make sure you find the villa back in a good state, we kindly ask you to apply these few rules:
· Switch off the heater
· Switch off the open fire
· Switch off the electric heater in the bathroom
· Close all windows (theft and animals)
· Switch off all inside and outside lamps (please check!)
· Check that the fridge door is properly closed
· Check that the oven and cooker in the kitchen are switched off
· Turn off all taps
· Lock entry door and protection grid
· Check that the door in plexi between the patio and the terrace is closed
· Lock the entrance gate
When
leaving your holiday villa
Before leaving the villa, we kindly ask you to clean thoroughly the inside of the villa as well as all the equipment put at your disposal. The villa must be perfectly clean on your departure. The real estate agent will make sure that this is the case.
To help you do that, here is an exhaustive list of things to do.
In the bedrooms:
· Remove dust from furniture and clean the rooms
· Cupboards and drawers must be emptied and cleaned
In the bathroom:
· Disinfect toilet, shower, bath tub, sink and taps
· Clean walls and floor as well as bathroom cupboard
In the kitchen:
· Thoroughly clean plates and dishes used during your stay, with washing up liquid
· Empty and clean the fridge; set the thermostat on 0Ί and leave the doors open
· Scour the oven and cooker
· Clean the under-dishes, tray, working surface, sink and coffee machine
· Do not forget the extractor and the cupboards
· Clean the floor
In the sitting/living room:
· Empty the ashtrays and clean the open fire place
· Remove dust
· Clean the floor
Outside:
· Clean the outdoor table, chairs and the patio
· Sweep entrance and alleys
Others:
· Please always leave a bin bag and a toilet roll in the bathroom
· If cleaning products were missing, please feel free to buy some. We thank you in advance for your cooperation
· Empty and disinfect the bin buckets
· Take the bins out and place them in the containers, which are on the corner of the street
· Close all windows and shutters
· Switch off heater by switching off the pressure reducer
· Disconnect the TV set and the decoder
· Unplug the electric heater in the bathroom
· Unplug the water boiler in the kitchen
· Disconnect all electrical appliances (including lamps in bedrooms, coffee machine in the kitchen, etc)
· Turn off all taps (bath tub, shower, sink as well as the one in the kitchen)
· Switch off all lamps
· Close all inside doors
· Take the outside chairs and the 2 long blue chairs inside
· Make sure everything is nice and tidy
· Deactivate fuse (by the entrance door)
· Double-lock the entrance door and lock the protection grid of the entrance door.

disposal, damages can occur. Here

OTHER
On your departure, please call Mr Jim DESSARD. He will do the inventory with you and will check that the villa is in good order. As mentioned above, we kindly ask you to leave the villa around 13:00 hours.
Also,
please note that you can do the cleaning before exiting the villa yourself but
you can also ask somebody else to do it. In
this case, please contact Mr DESSARD.
Last but not least, a Euro 250 deposit will be asked on booking the villa. That deposit will be returned to you (by bank transfer) within 15 days following your departure, providing that the villa was clean and nothing was missing. As mentioned above, you can enter the villa around 16:00 hours.

We can understand that these few rules and recommendations might seem tough and demanding. However, if you use the villa and its equipment correctly, these few rules will seem normal to you. They can also be there as a reminder. All we want is to preserve the villa for one single aim: to serve you the best and longest possible.
